        Lucknow- The Historical Place 
Lucknow, a large city in northern India, is the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Toward its center is Rumi Darwaza, a Mughal gateway. Nearby, the 18th-century Bara Imambara shrine has a huge arched hall. Upstairs, Bhool Bhulaiya is a maze of narrow tunnels with city views from its upper balconies. Close by, the grand Victorian Husainabad Clock Tower was built as a victory column in 1881.Historically, Lucknow was the capital of the Awadh region, controlled by the Delhi Sultanate and later the Mughal Empire. It was transferred to the Nawabs of Awadh.

Historical Places to visit- 
1.Bara Imambara 
Bara Imambara, also known as Asfi Mosque is an imambara complex in Lucknow, India built by Asaf-ud-Daula, Nawab of Awadh in 1784.
Its central hall is said to be the largest vaulted chamber in the world. Except for the galleries in the interior, there is no woodwork in the entire structure. The building also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a step well with running water. Two imposing gateways lead to the main hall. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace but only two to come back first gate or the last gate. It is an accidental architecture.

        Lucknow- The city of Nawabs





Lucknow is the capital city of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh . Lucknow has always been a multicultural city that flourished as a North Indian cultural and artistic hub, and the seat of power of Nawabs in the 18th and 19th centuries.
"Lucknow" is the anglicised spelling of the local pronunciation "Lakhnau". According to one legend, the city is named after Lakshmana, a hero of the Hindu epic Ramayana. The legend states that Lakshmana had a palace or an estate in the area, which was called Lakshmanapuri . The settlement came to be known as Lakhanpur (or Lachhmanpur) by the 11th century, and later, Lucknow.
Lucknow, along with Agra and Varanasi, is in the Uttar Pradesh Heritage Arc, a chain of survey triangulations created by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to boost tourism in the state.
Transport-
Multiple modes of public transport are available such as metro rail, taxis, city buses, cycle rickshawsauto rickshaws and compressed natural gas (CNG) low-floor buses with and without air-conditioning. CNG was introduced as an auto fuel to keep air pollution under control. Radio Taxis are operated by several major companies like Ola and Uber.

1.Ambedkar Memorial Park-


Ambedkar Memorial Park, formally known as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Prateek Sthal, is a public park and memorial in Gomti NagarLucknowUttar Pradesh, India. The memorial is dedicated to B. R. Ambedkar, the 20th century Indian polymath and the "father of the Indian Constitution". The park also honors the lives and memories of Jyotirao PhuleNarayana GuruBirsa MundaShahuji MaharajKanshi Ram and all those who've devoted their life for humanity, equality and social justice.

2. Gomti Riverfront Park-


Gomti Riverfront is a newly constructed park with some great asthetic appeal located in Jimau, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.Its major attraction is the musical fountain, which is very huge and can be seen from both sides of the river.Other facilities includes a huge capacity (around 20,000 seats) Amphitheater, cycling and jogging tracks,boating, play area for children etc.

3.Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji Green Eco Garden



The Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji Green Eco Garden (Hindi:मान्यावर श्री कांशीराम जी ग्रीन इको गार्डन) (also known as Eco Gardens Lucknow) are ecological gardens in Lucknow city named after Bahujan Samaj Party founder Kanshi Ram.The place houses nearly 500 bronze animals and water fountains that add to the park’s grandeur. With its unique architecture, the entrance plaza is one of the park’s highlights. Visitors can hear the echo of their footsteps while entering the plaza. There is also a Rock Garden, surrounded by several greenhouses that are home to about 12000 Euphorbia Milii plants.

4.Janeshwar Mishra Park



                 
Janeshwar Mishra Park is an urban park operating in Gomti Nagar in LucknowIndia.The site measures around 376 acres and is located in Gomti Nagar extension.There is a splendid bio-diversity in India and a great number of birds arrive from numerous locales all around the world throughout the year. Some of the birds that migrate to Indian wetlands in winter season are Siberian cranesgreater flamingosruffswhite wagtailsrosy pelicansspotted sandpipersstarlings, and gadwalls. Lohia Park is constructed by LDA in Gomtinagar and is dedicated to great Socialist thinker Dr Ram Manohar Lohia.The park is divided into four courtyards and simultaneously have four different entrances. Besides, it has vibrant lawns sprinkled with seasonal flowers and shrubbery.This park is spread over 80 acres of land and has beautiful landscaping, walking track, an artificial lake and a tower.

6.GAUTAM BUDDHA PARK


                        

Gautam Buddha Park is Located in the middle of Martyr's Memorial and Bada Imambara, Gautam Buddha Park is perfect for a family outing. The garden was founded in the year 1980 to honour the life of the Buddha, who had spent a considerable time of his life in the city.The whole area studded with lamp posts, rides and swings for children and a river body flowing by. There’s boating facility also available in the park. The park has artificial bumps and an attached jhula park with 3-4 rides.

7.Begum Hazrat Mahal Park


                    

Park dedicated to revolutionary Begum Hazrat Mahal, with a memorial, walking paths & flowers.Built in the honour of an amazingly beautiful and courageous woman, Begum Hazrat Mahal, a marbled memorial stands upright in the Old Victoria Park in LucknowLocated in the heart of Lucknow, the Begum Hazrat Mahal Park was once a Rally ground used for Dusshera and other celebrations. 8.Nimbu Park Lucknow


Nimbu Park is  is located at a distance of just a few metres from Bara Imambara. Blessed with lush greenery, this popular tourist site in Lucknow is a great place an evening with friends and family, especially in summer.


 9.Dilkusha Garden

Dilkusha garden is an adjoining part of the Dilkusha kothi (Palace).Dilkusha Kothi is the remains of an eighteenth-century house built in the English baroque style in the quiet Dilkusha area of Lucknow in India.Walking along the path surrounded by the remains of the kothi and the newly planted flowers is an interesting experience. The ruins add a historical charm to the place, lending it personality and a story.

10.Swarna Jayanti Smriti Vihar Park


Great place for running, jogging and even for children a lot articles are available. All age group people can enjoy their portion of life. Parking facilities are good. Even this park is also very famous for morning Walker. As people from all aged group are participating in healthy activity. In morning a lot of healthy food kiosks are also a added attraction for health conscious people.

11.Jyotiba Phule Zonal Park

This park located in sector D-1, Kanpur Road Housing Scheme, has all the basic amenities that a park should have. Lush greenery, beautiful flowers, swings, resting spots, a jogger’s path and beautiful fountains are just a few of the park’s good points.

12.Sikandar Bagh

This monument derives its name from Sikandar Mahal, one of the begums of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah.Spread over 120 square yards it is surrounded by a high wall and has a summer house in its centre. The place had also been associated with the war of independence activities. The National Botanical Research Institute and Botanical Garden were set up here after independence.

13.Qaisar Bagh


Qaisarbagh  Emperor's Garden), also spelled QaiserbaghKaisarbagh or Kaiserbagh, is a complex in the city of Lucknow, located in the Awadh region of India. It was built by Wajid Ali Shah (1847-1856), the last Nawab of Awadh.
